RFTA Open Day (October 4, 2015)

On October 4, 2015 at 11.00 AM the first of the RFTA OPEN DAYs planned for 2015-2016 started! Conventional meeting with the prospective applicants was attended by the Academy administration, members of the Admission Committee, heads of subdivisions and by the RFTA students.

ON September 4, 2015 the Russian Foreign Trade Academy hosted the International Student Conference "Russia-Mexico Forum: Prospects for Trade and Economic Cooperation", organized in cooperation with the Autonomous University of Chapingo (Mexico).

During the conference, professors and students of the two universities made presentations in Spanish on the development of the economies of their countries, bilateral cooperation and prospects of trade development.

2015 Students’ Parade

On September 12, 2015 hundreds of thousands of first-year students from different parts of the country participated in the students’ parade, the grand celebration, which has no analogues in Russia and abroad. Being no exception, RFTA students participated in the parade ass well. Bright, lively, active, they once again loudly announced the world: ”RFTA is power, RFTA is class, we love RFTA, RFTA loves us”. The World Student Games were held in Moscow. Our futsal team confidently passed the group stage, where it had a team of University of London as one of its opponents. Our team won the game 4:1.

International Summer School-2015 at the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development

From June 27 to August 23 2015 the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF holds a summer school for Spanish-speaking students. The Program of the School "Modern Russia: society, economy and culture" comprises a series of lectures on the Russian economy, on bilateral relations with the countries of Latin America and Spain, as well as classes in Russian as a Foreign Language.

On June 30, 2015 Joint Graduation Ceremony was held at the RFTA Department of International Business  for the  graduates  of the MBA program and Master's program in International Economics.

During the video conference, moderated by Alexander Nikitenko, the Director of On-line Learning Center of the RFTA, the participants were informed about the activities of the trade mission, on the existing tools to support exporters when entering foreign markets, about the possibility of organizing business missions to Vietnam.

April  2015.  Participation in annual Foreign Students’ Internship  Program.

The purpose  of the internship is to expand  students' knowledge in the field of international trade; to boost exchange of experience between students from leading universities in Russia, engaged in training  of highly qualified personnel in the field of foreign trade and international relations; to let  students familiarize themselves   with such important structures as the World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Trade Centre (ITC).

RFTA Donor Day-2015

On May 14, 2015  The Academy once again held  Donor Day. The  action was attended by about 140 people, including both students and staff members of the Academy, some donors had a very rare blood type. We thank everyone who participated and organized the event which will definitely save not a few  lives.

RFTA Masked Ball  - 2015

On April 24, 2015 Spring Ball of RFTA Students took place in Alexandrovsky Concert Hall. The theme of the Ball was Venetian Masked Ball:  dresses, masks, coats, orchestra, dancing. Bright! Beautiful! Stylish!

Bowling Championship among the leading Moscow Business Schools; A team of MBA students of the RFTA Higher Business School took the third place

The team of students of the RFTA Higher Business School took the third place! Such strong contenders as teams of RANEPA, MIRBIS, REA named after Plekhanov, etc. fell behind. The second place went to the team of HSE, and the leader of the ranking of the strongest teams of the championship was the team of MSU Higher School of Business.

On  April 14-16, 2015 the Academy hosted  the 2nd Students’ Contest on International  Commercial Arbitration named after  M.Rosenberg  "RFTA 2015 - International Sale".  10 teams representing centers of legal education  from Kazan, Minsk and  Tyumen, as well as Moscow institutions of higher education  specializing in legal studies (  MSU, Moscow State Law Academy, HSE, University of Peoples’ Friendship,  RFTA) participated in the competition.

A visit  to Tagansky  Children's Fund. March 28, 2015

The students organized Interactive games which were followed by gift-giving ceremony and a  tea party. The meeting has brought joy and spring spirit  to all the participants: the children were happy to meet and communicate with students, and the students saw the other side of life and enjoyed the chance of  doing good for others! We thank the organizers and the students who participated in the meeting. We also invite everyone to take part in the following  meeting.

On March 15, 2015, another Open Day of the series of the planned ones for the current academic year was held. The guests of the Academy had the opportunity to listen to the information about the Academy as a whole, about the departments and their activities.

Lecture in the RFTA by Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentine Republic in the Russian Federation

On February 25 (Wednesday) 2015,  at 11:00 am Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentine Republic in the Russian Federation held a lecture in the Conference Hall of the RFTA. The theme of the lecture: "Current  issues of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Argentina." The lecture was held within the framework of a series of seminars "Trade and economic partners of Russia" with participation of leading diplomats and experts from the partner countries of Russia in foreign trade.

From February 19 to February 21, 2015 the Russian Foreign Trade Academy of the  Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation took part in the 13th  International Specialized Exhibition of Educational Services ‘Education and Career’  in Minsk, Belarus.

The joint Russian-Korean Seminar on Roadmap for Economic Cooperation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea. December 4-5, 2014,  Seoul, Lotte Hotel.

Joint Seminar  between the RFTA  and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy was held within the framework of joint research. Memorandum of Cooperation between the RFTA  and the Korea Institute was signed  in early 2014.

On November 18, 2014 Autumn  RFTA Championship was launched. Volleyball, table tennis, athletic triathlon, swimming, basketball, etc.

GET ACQUAINTED – WE ARE FRESHERS! -  2014

On November 14, 2014 one of the most ambitious and important events in the Academy  student life was held:  - "Get Acquainted – We Are Freshers!". All department teams demonstrated high-class talents, making  the audience applaud! A mix of drive, intrigue, ice and fire! Numerous dances, songs, jokes…

Autumn Conference of the German-speaking students, "German literature-2014: tradition and modernity"

On October 27, 2014, a traditional autumn conference of the German-speaking students, "German literature: tradition and modernity" was held. The conference was prepared and conducted by the 4th year students of International Economists’ Department and Foreign Trade Management Department. For the first time in the history the  conference  the students of the  new Department of International Finance  participated in it. They  not only made interesting presentations but also processed statistically the results of the event.

On September 28, 2014, the first of the Open Day series planned for the current academic year was held. The guests had the opportunity to listen to the information about the Academy as a whole, about the departments and their activities. Administration of the Academy extend thanks to the students taking  an active part in organization  and conducting of the event.

Students’  Parade - 2014

On September 13, 2014, RFTA students traditionally participated in the most significant event in the student life of the capital and of the whole of Russia - The Parade of Moscow Students! Every year Moscow universities receive thousands of applications from young people from  almost all cities and towns  of Russia and from CIS  countries. The Parade of Moscow Students is  a kind of start of student  life, a demonstration of solidarity of Moscow students. Pictures  from the event.

Barcelona University Delegation at RFTA

Barcelona University Delegation headed by Maria Callejon,  Provost on  International Policy, visited RFTA on September 11,  2014. At the meeting with  S. Sinelnikov-Murylev,  the Rector of the RFTA  they discussed prospects of expansion of cooperation between the universities and joint projects in the near future.

July 9, 2014 the first graduates of the Master FPM (second degree). As noted by Dean of the Faculty Ogneva Y. to the finish line really managed to get a little: it is difficult to combine a busy work schedule with a hard teaching load! Especially valuable was the long-awaited diploma VAVT! Congratulations!

Bidders began eight teams that have been formed by students and undergraduates of the Faculty of International Law and the Faculty of International Economists.

Spring  Career Day - 2014

"Talent Parade" Career Day  is  a traditional event for the Academy. On April 9, 2014 another one, Spring  Career Day was held. Ludmila  Zamula, Provost for Academic Affairs spoke at the opening ceremony on behalf of the RFTA Management. Elena Nechayeva , head of the RFTA Career Center  told students about the new area of the activity: formation of target groups of the RFTA Students focused on career development with the Ministry   of Economic Development  and its subdivisions - Russian trade missions abroad. This information was of great interest among  the students, many of them expressed a desire to apply for enrollment in a task force in 2015.

25 April 2014 hosted the annual traditional evening in foreign languages ​​«Comme au thйвtre» - «As in the theater", organized by the Department of Romance Languages​​! We thank the students and teachers who participated in the program and the organization!

March 15, 2014, students of the Academy has traditionally been Taganka Children's Fund

We went to the fund, with entertainment and gifts. Upon arrival, we dressed in pirate theme of our program, and began to prepare for direct contact with the boys. Before you start to communicate with children, a girl who is engaged with them, put them in a circle and held a warm-up, so to speak, set up children to communicate with the guests. After the children are tuned, we were divided into five groups. The main objective was to involve all the kids absolutely to the game. Many students VAVT not only the first time went to the fund, but also for the first time dealt with such special people. At first it was hard, it was not clear how to deal with children who because of their illness can not talk or respond poorly. But after a while we got used to each other and everyone was having fun, everything began to turn out like us, students, and children. After the games, everyone present sat at the table, which we organized. For all of us it was a great surprise when the teacher asked each child to say thankyou. Such beautiful words I have not heard for a long time! Looking into the eyes of each, you could see so much warmth, love and affection! People with these disorders are different from others in that they never pretend to always say what they feel and think. Hold back the tears was impossible. The second surprise was a concert organized for the parents, but the guests were allowed to stay and watch. And that includes parents. For me it was a great joy to see that every child had a parent present, a happy parent with a caring smile. In conclusion I want to say that this kind of school of compassion "special" person and empathy his difficulties. Such trips and meetings are necessary not only for this seriously ill children, and especially their parents, but also for us, healthy and young. I hope that this meeting was not the last and the next time it will be attended by more students VAVT.

On April 3, 2014 RFTA students met at the Academy A. Likhachyov,  Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.  The moderator of the meeting was S. Sinelnikov-Murylev,  Rector of the Academy. The theme of the meeting: "The main areas  of foreign trade activities of the Russian Federation. The system of trade missions: prospects and problems"

Annual Best Student Award Ceremony – 2014  (February 18, 2014)

The students were rewarded for excellent results in studies, sporting achievements and active participation in public life of the RFTA. Ludmila  Zamula, Provost for Academic Affairs opened  the Ceremony followed by  Ludmila Gubar, Deputy Rector on Extra-Curricular  Work and Alexander Shumilov, Head of PE Department. After that the Ceremony began. It should be noted that the number of  awardees increased this year as compared with the previous year. As it usually happens, the ceremony ended with a buffet.

December 3, 2013 hosted the annual Charity Fair

All the funds raised from the fair will be spent on the annual trip to the Taganka Children's Fund.

During the day, the final games  were held in the various sports  of the RFTA  Spring Championship. The competitions were  held simultaneously in all the sport  halls of the Sport complex.

VI Moscow patriotic youth competition "Spring '45» 2013

The winners were students VAVT: Shamraeva Tamara nomination pop song won the Grand Prix. In the same category winner was Mykytenko Sergey !!

March 6, 2013 VAVT students took part in the XIV Inter-University Conference on the Spanish "Spanish-speaking country and the challenges of the XXI century"

The conference was attended by students of 3rd and 4th year VAVT, HSE, SUM and FU studying Spanish.

Swimming competition. November 14, 2012.

On November 14th, 2012 swimming competition was held  in the swimming  pool of the Academy Sports Complex. It attracted a record number of participants. It was attended by athletes from Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as by the team of teachers. Athletes competed in six courses:  3 for boys and 3 for girls: 50 meters breast-stroke, 50m free-style and 4x50 freestyle relay.

April 23, 2012 The Academy has once again filled with the sounds of the German language - the students held a very real financial conference, professional and serious!

2nd year IED and FTMD students’ excursion to Moscow Company within the framework of the topic "The Company's Products» 2012

For several years 2nd year students visit Babaev Confectionary Factory to learn how to organize presentation of the company product on-site. Before the excursion the students get a task: to analyze the information and identify the main points of the presentation. During the excursion the students not only learn a lot about the history of the company and the product, but they also visit production lines, where they watch the production process and have a chance to taste the products of the factory. In class they exchange opinions in German. They should evaluate the presentation and say what other approaches they would apply.

On November 30, 2011 the RFTA Department of Public Law held a round table : "65 years since Nuremberg Trials:  Historical and legal aspects".

Anniversary Conference "German literature: tradition and modernity" in October 2011

Tenth Anniversary Conference "German literature: tradition and modernity" was held in October 2011 at the Department of German. During this time, the conference was attended by about 300 students of our Academy. Was read on a summer vacation about 50 000 pages - it was the product of T.Mann, S.Tsveyga, G.Grassa, F.Dyurrenmatta, H. Hesse, M.Frisha and other well-known German writers. And traditionally during the coffee break eaten without counting and cakes homemade and took away a lot of emotions, new information and experiences.

May 24, 2011 at the III course FPM VAVT held a unique event! Organized presentation processes in English, German and French in criminal cases, actually took place in Germany, France, USA and UK!

Participants - students training programs "Theory and practice of negotiating in English" and its former students. They shared personal experiences of participation in international negotiations, spoke about the new books on the theory of negotiation, delivered presentations. After the theoretical part of the discussion, the members of the club had a session the pair and group training in English. The club ended the game on a business trade negotiations. A suggestion was made to continue the work of the club on a regular basis.

Taganka Children's Fund" in 2009 / Orphanage №7

Since 2004, students and teachers of the Academy are involved in the program  dedicated to the children of the Regional Public Charity Organization "Taganka Children's Foundation". Students and teachers bring toys, stationery and everything that children need, and with the help of Social center it goes to "Taganka Children's Foundation”. Every Year  RFTA students prepare New Year concert for the children. Children’s smiles and happy faces are our best reward!
